I just came across this really interesting set of plans for a device which is easy to make at home, to get fuel from water.
 

I am going to be making it myself, but as these days gas and diesel have gone up so much I want to recommend this right away.

You can get up to 50% higher mileage and your engine runs at a lower temperature.
